The outdoor play area was established behind the village hall when a group of young residents realised there was nothing like it in the area in 2017. Shrewley Parish Parents was formed to begin a planning and fundraising initiative. £30,000 was required for the project and thanks to various grants, donations and the now annual “Shrewley Parents Burns Supper” the monies were raised and the park opened to the public in May 2020. Shrewley Parents would like to thank everyone who contributed their money, time, expertise and elbow grease to make this project come to life. It truly was a worthwhile community project which is enjoyed by the children of the parish on a daily basis.
